Ron had a successful twenty-year auto racing career up and down the East coast, including his most thrilling win as the surprise victor of the 1981 Talladega 500 during only his 11th Winston Cup start, which helped win him that season’s “Rookie of the Year” title.
In 1986 Ron Bouchard opened his first car dealership, Ron Bouchard Honda (previously The Honda Store), in his hometown of Fitchburg. He and Paula built their business up to six franchises including Nissan, Kia, Honda, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, and Acura.
